In 1994 the Palm Springs Brewing Co. was created as a brewpub in downtown Palm Springs to cater to local residents and the huge tourist industry of the area. Two years later, the demand for their beer was so great that they built an 11,000 sf brewery complete with twelve 50bbl fermentation tanks.

Their brewing staff consists of William T. Anderson, an award winning master brewer, with over 40 years experience, and Erik Neiderman who was trained by an award winning brewer from the Weisphan School of Brewing in Munich, Germany.

The brewery has a small tasting room and Eric or one of the staff would be happy to give you a tour and taste of all the fines ales they brew. If you are ever in the area, stop by and check these guys out... go ahead and tell them that BEER On The Wall sent you... I'm not sure if that will do more harm than good ?!

Desert Mist is a very light ale with mild malt aroma, medium hop bitterness and a clean, crisp, slightly fruity flavor. This is a great summer time beer, brewed by guys who know hot weather!

Located in Chico, the Butte Creek Brewing Co. started brewing in 1996 and produces some very outstanding brews. The 8,500 SF brewery is built in a remodeled warehouse just off the tracks and sports a 20 barrel brew house complimented by four 40bbl fermenters and an 80bbl fermenter.

The three "main guys" at the brewery are Tom Atmore, Bill Beeghly and brewmaster Roland Allen. Roland has over nine years under his belt as a commercial brewer and over 13 years as a serious homebrewer.

Butte Creek brews 5 full-time brews (Gold Ale, Creekside Wheat, Roland's Red, Organic Ale and Organic Porter) as well as several seasonal flavors.

Roland's Red (namesaked after the man who created it) is a full flavored hoppy rendition of a traditional English Ale. A sure delight for the most hop headed of specialty beer connoisseurs. This brew is dry hopped to add its rich aroma and uses imported Belgian malts for its deep red color. We have had many outstanding reviews from our customers about this one!

Brewmaster Bob Smith's dream to open a small brewery began in the late seventies. An accomplished homebrewer, Bob had long strived to make full flavored ales & lagers akin to the imports then available.

Seeking knowledge and ingredients, Smith became part of a small number of individuals who were laying the foundation of the craft beer revolution. While developing a business plan and looking for investors, Bob perfected his own brewing skills winning numerous home brewing awards. After over a decade of planning, his dream finally became reality in 1989.

Now, just past their 10th anniversary, Mad River Brewing continues its commitment to produce fine ales using an environmentally sound approach.

Steelhead Extra Stout has that something extra. This black opaque ale has a rich creamy roasted chocolate malt character with a very mild hop compliment. If you like stouts, you will definitely like this beer. We like it with sweet desserts and just as a sipper in the evening!
