Aroma:
Pilsners have low to medium aromas of grain or corn as well as a sweet smell that comes from their malt content; and their hop aromas will be medium to high. Pilsners also have a clean lager smell, with no trace of fruit or diacetyl.
Appearance :
Pilsners will be yellowish-gold in color with a nice, long lasting white head when poured.
Flavor:
Pilsners are known for their somewhat high maltiness similar to the Continental Pilsners, but not quite as intense. This beer style has a slight grainy and corn-like sweetness from maize, which is nicely offset by a helping of hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel:
Pilsners have a rich, creamy mouthfeel with medium to high carbonation levels.
Overall Impression:
All in all Pilsners are a very popular beer style and extremely refreshing.
