Every year Stone Brewing Company creates a special brew to celebrate their anniversary. And for their 13th anniversary they've out done themselves in pleasing Hop Heads every where. This annual release is ALL about hops.
Stone has used more hops per barrel in their 13th Anniversary brew than any other beer they've ever made!
This year's release is am Imperial/Double Red style Brilliant deep red with light tan foam, the initial aroma is piney, resinous and citrus-y.
Upon tasting, the hops are still on the front but are balanced with the malty, toffee like flavors contributed from the blend of crystal and amber malts used in the brew house. The finish is deliciously bitter, with a touch of warmth provided by the 9.5% alcohol.
