Thompson Pale Ale by Snowshoe Brewing is a refreshing and classic California Pale ale. This well-balanced beer is fruity with a clean hop finish. One of our favs!
Thompson is a beautiful copper colored brew that gets its gentle bitter finish from the Pacific Northwest hops used by Snowshoe. With a fairly strong malt aroma, this pale ale is an easy-drinker with its low ABV, just 5.5%. Make sure you stock up on these guys 'cause they have a tendency to disappear fast!
The aromas of this beer range from nutty to grapefruity ... VERY West Coast! And the taste has traces of caramel sweetness from the malts used. As with many beers, this is a much different brew when tasted from a chilled beer glass than it is when enjoyed a bit warmer, straight from the bottle. When tasted slightly warmer, you will most likely find richer and more complex flavors come forward. Enjoy this beer both ways; iced cold or straight from a bottle, Snowshoe's Thompson Pale Ale is a fantastic beer!
