Red Rocket is the brew of choice for mountain bikers, and adventurous types worldwide. It's the beer with the go-for-it attitude! This fiery red ale is not for the weak at heart. This beer originally started out as a Scottish red ale but in the twists and turns of the brewing process, it took on flavors all its own. Beer Republic Brewing Company has created a very complex recipe for Red Rocket, using five different grains to achieve its unique flavor.
The caramel malt found in this beer is a mixture of Belgian Caravienne and Hugh Bairds Crystal malts. Red Rocket is a full bodied, hoppy brew which finishes on the palate with these sweet caramel malts. Bear Republic Brewing also uses Centennial and Cascade hops for bittering this beer and creating its awesome aroma.
